There are a lot of websites that list restaurants, but I like that NYC Under $15 is more focused on helping you actually choose somewhere to eat. The price is one of the first things you can consider, which makes it much easier to narrow down your options. I also liked the way the restaurants are described because you can get a quick idea of what kind of food they serve and what makes each place worth checking out without having to open a bunch of different websites.

The Find Your Match quiz is a really nice addition because sometimes having too many choices is almost as bad as having none. Instead of scrolling through a long list, you can answer a few questions and get a recommendation that fits your preferences. Overall, the site feels simple and useful, especially for anyone who wants to find good places to eat in NYC without spending a lot.

As a commuter CUNY student, I’m always looking for somewhere to grab food between classes without spending too much or going too far out of my way. I found Luo's Burgers through NYC Under 15 and it ended up being a really good option. The prices were reasonable to begin with, and I was able to get a student discount with my ID, which made it even better. I probably wouldn’t have known about the discount or thought to check the restaurant out otherwise.

One of the things that stood out to me was the focus on student-friendly ways to save money. Restaurant prices in NYC can add up quickly, so I appreciate that the website doesn’t just tell you where you can eat for less, but also points out opportunities like student discounts when they’re available. That’s the kind of information I normally wouldn’t think to look for until after choosing a restaurant.

My favorite thing about NYC Under 15 is probably the discovery aspect. There are so many restaurants in New York that it’s easy to keep going to the same places you already know. I liked being able to browse the recommendations and come across restaurants that weren’t already on my radar. Having the information organized on one website made it much easier to actually keep track of places I might want to try.

I also like that the site is specifically centered around affordable options. It makes the recommendations feel more relevant than just searching for “best restaurants in NYC,” where you can end up with a lot of places that are way outside your budget. It’s a useful starting point when you want to try somewhere new without spending too much.

I originally went on NYC Under 15 just to look around, but I ended up spending way more time on the site than I expected. I liked being able to browse through the different restaurants and see the information all together instead of having to search each place separately. There are so many restaurants in NYC that it can be overwhelming when you’re trying to narrow things down, and I liked that the website gives you a starting point without making the process feel complicated.

What I liked was that I didn’t have to do a ton of searching to figure all of that out. I could look at the restaurant information, see what kind of food it was, and get an idea of the price before deciding if it was worth going. I’ve also played around with some of the other features on the site, and I like that it gives you different ways to find a restaurant depending on what you’re looking for.

I’ve already sent NYC Under 15 to a few friends at school because we’re constantly talking about where to eat without spending too much. I’ll definitely keep recommending it, especially to other CUNY students who want a quick way to figure out where to grab food.
